I told my mom that Kmommy* said I was just weird for being interested in torture techniques. My mom replied (with little thought to my brittle feelings), "Have you watched the Saw movies? Those are my favorite."
The apple, as they say, does not fall far from the tree, I suppose. Remember, this is the lady who read Stephen King to me when I was a wee one. And yes, I'll repeat that as many times as I feasibly can just so I get the point across that this (pointing to myself) isn't all my doing. I must give the lady some credit when credit is due.
However, I must clarify one thing: I don't want to watch people be tortured, which is probably why I have not watched the Saw movies, but I'm merely interested in the techniques themselves. Hmm. I'm not sure I'm really stating a good case for myself.
*no hard feelings and she awesomely awarded me more awards that I will address in a different post.

LOL!! :) Your mom sounds like a riot! I never planned on watching the saw movies -out of principle... but ended up seeing like the second two or so, and they weren't really like I thought, not so bad.
I was a big stephen king fan at a tender young age ;) and read some of the stories to my youngest brother and sister at bedtime ;) They claim they are scarred for life ;)
