Two steps in saving money.

Besides the piddly, sad, mournful, pathetic budget I put together, that is:

1. Cut out Starbucks EXCEPT for Friday, when it's a nice treat at the end of the week.

2. Convince my husband to dump the $7 a month fee so he can go to any 24-hour fitness, which he hasn't done so in, oh, about 3 years (yes, that's roughly $252 bucks gone for no reason, and yes, I got out my calculator for that one).

What I've learned:

1. Work coffee still stinks and I think I'll be buying me some strong, pre-ground coffee to use at work, which will still save me money in the long run, especially since I'm the only one on this side of the floor that uses the coffee maker.

2. My husband doesn't want to lose the ability to go to any gym, and this knowledge is purely based on the tiny argument I received when I told him to dump it.

It's a start. I applaud myself.

LOL - as soon as you bring your own coffee in, others will start flocking to the coffee pot that only you used to use ;)

I know. But maybe if I make faces as I drink my coffee and exclaim how terrible it is, people will stay away....
