running conversations about what's on TV with me while I'm typing away on my laptop and obviously not watching TV with him. Does yours?

How about not even being in the same room and not knowing if he is just talking to the TV or to you, and constantly running back and forth to see what he is talking about?
How about being asked question after question about what's on TV or questions that are related to what's on TV, and you're typing away on your laptop and obviously not watching TV so you can't answer the questions being asked? And you have to decide to answer them with "i dunno" or to just completely ignore them; the first choice just causes more questions to be asked, and the second makes you look like a mean jerk.
How about being busy and really doing something that needs to be done and you are told to come and watch something. "I recorded it so you can watch - it's only 20 minutes". After 30 seconds you know you couldn't care less and it's nothing you would watch yourself. So do you just walk out or sit there and watch and act like you care - WALK OUT!!!
Or how about when you're watching something you're really interested in, oh let's say Nip / Tuck, and your husband comes in and sits down and starts asking question after question about what's going on cause he does know the story line, but not that much, and the hours you can spend watching something you want to watch are drastically limited because of taking care of Mateo and not being home, and you have to decide if you will be nice and patient and answer the questions, give a one word answer in hopes that'll distract him, or pause the DVD and actually spend the time answering him. Or, better yet, say, "I'm trying to watch this!!!!!"
I'm a working Mom who blogs daily. I'm creative, cynical and have a quick wit on those days I’m feeling awake. I communicate for a living and have a fondness for the feline species. You can usually find me listening to music, which I do so incessantly. To call me an avid reader would be one of life’s little understatements. I am smitten with my child and husband, and do everything I can to make their lives that much more interesting.
I also have a cat, Sophia (aka Missy), who enriches our lives greatly by driving us nuts.
